MUSICAL TREAT!!  As a special treat, the musical mother and daughter duo, Joni and Elizabeth Jones, will be performing at the dinner and annual meeting.  Because this is Jefferson’s bicentennial year, their music will include selections of patriotic and folk-songs.  Joni is the music teacher at Whitefield Elementary and has been a life-long musician, beginning her musical career in the sixth grade.  She plays both wood and brass wind instruments.  Elizabeth will be entering San Jose University in CA this fall as part of a music exchange program with USM.  Elizabeth, primarily a violinist, also plays piano and clarinet.  Both women are popular and gifted musicians in the Lincoln County area and we are delighted that they will be with us.

Loon News

The loons are back, and the pair is large but no word yet on any nests.  Arolyn Antognoni will do the annual loon count on July 17 – the date set by the Audubon Society
