The photo at left is Scaredy Cat, the Flag Ship of the Clary Lake Yacht Club. She's an 18' Hobie Cat. If you wonder why it's named Scaredy Cat, just imagine flying at 20 knots across the lake on one hull, rigging singing, hull humming. It's even fun to sail when there's no wind to speak of. Next time you see us out there, flag us down and come for a ride.
Speaking of the Clary Lake Yacht Club, I ought to say something more about it. It's the enterprise of my son-in-law Jason Dmitrieff, a licensed captain, accomplished boat builder, and superb sailor. You'll be hearing more about the yacht club this coming summer.
